Hunting is so much more than just the shooting of an animal, this Bear hunt started as a way for a good group of friends to get together and just have a great time. We had such a great time that it became an annual event that we talk about and plan for all year long. A time to catch-up, try new gear, goof off and just have a great time as well as be in the company of a couple all so deserving wounded veterans for a fantastic week of fun and camaraderie. Get your buddies together and plan a great adventure for yourselves, you will never regret it. Special thanks to our friends at Kershaw, ZT knives, CamelBak and JetBoil again this year, this is by far the best trip we take for trying out new gear. Alaska can be unforgiving and your gear needs to be tough as your life could very well depend on it.
Loading up for 5 days of bear hunting on a beautiful day in Seward Alaska.
Larry and Mike Morgan taping footage for Hunting Across America and The Outfitter TV Shows. I am very glad they made the trip with us again this year, we always have alot of fun on our hunting trips.
Ken Weas and Steve Sanford of Fairbanks, Alaska. Steve is a recent Distinguished service cross recipient after being wounded in Iraq, I have had the privilege of hunting with Steve a number of times this past year. Ken has been a great friend and hunting partner for many years.
This is an example of the calm seas we had for the entire week, from someone that has been on Prince William sound before a few times this water can be at times very brutal.
This photo just had to be included, it shows the magnificence of Alaska and why we go back year after year, it does not get better.
Colorado Buck (The Outfitters TV Show) and Cameraman Eddie McCalip. We have done numerous hunts together and always have a fantastic time.
Ken Onion sporting his new Army camo hat (Ken is a marine) and taking it like a man, Steve thought it looked better on him than Ken's USMC hat.
Alan- Our mate for the hunt. I have to say both Alan and James hung in like real troopers with our gang of hunters despite the look on Alan's face above, he is really a pussycat and a whole lot of fun. They were both beyond knowledgeable and alot of fun.

A beautiful shot of the Seward boat harbor on our way out to Prince William Sound.
A partial group shot from our boat the Sundy. L-R Dennis Kaibara, Doug Warren, Jamie Jurgensen, Bob Hill. Missing from photo are Ken Onion, Steve Sanford and Ken Weas.
And of Course we have my buddy Ken Onion (Kershaw and Zero Tolerance Knives), Ken is a must on every trip.
Another beautiful shot of the ride to the main hunting areas
Eddie getting more video footage of the amazing ride to our hunting grounds.
Bob, Dennis and Steve enjoying the ride and looking for bears along the way.
James- Our Captain for the trip, a great guy and alot of fun.
At Ken Onion's request I just had to include this shot on the page. I have known Bob for over 25 years, starting when we were stationed together at Eielson AFB outside of Fairbanks, AK in the early 80's, I am so glad that he was able to make the trip.
