I must first off admit to being biased as it relates to the Kershaw, ZT and Strider lines of knives. Throughout this website you will notice photos of the various designers from those companies as they join us on our adventures all over Alaska as well as trips in the lower 48 as we all support the Paralyzed Veterans of America Heritage Fund programs.

I am also very proud of the fact that I have been a part of the ZT knife project from day one when Ken Onion and I sat down in Kona, Hawaii and discussed the initial plans for ZT knives and the plan to donate a significant portion of the sales to the PVA Heritage Fund, followed by an immediate meeting with Duane Dwyer and Mick Strider of Strider knives and everyone from Kershaw knives at the Kershaw knife corporate office in Tualatin, Oregon.

This started and still is a very personal project for all of us because of what it means to the PVA Heritage Fund, donations continue to rise and this allows the PVAHF to continue to develop bigger and better programs aimed at reaching out to our wounded heroes and getting them back into the world of outdoor sports. Since 1946 PVA has been at the forefront of these programs for our wounded soldiers.

You will not find a better quality knife than any from the ZT line of knives, they are all designed around "what would I want my son or daughter carrying in a combat zone" and ZT has developed nothing short of THE BEST products available. Having been a part of this project from the beginning has given me the opportunity to develop great friendships with Scott DeVanna of Crucible steel the supplier of the steel for these great knives as well as Darrell Lewis from Ionbond who make sure that every knife is coated for a lifetime of dependable service, free from rust and anything else that might effect the operation of your knife for at least your lifetime.

I have been carrying and using the ZT line since day one with nothing short of spectacular results with NO disappointments from hunting deer, turkey, alligators etc in the lower 48 to moose and bears in the Alaska bush and for all associated tasks that come with camping, backpacking, bagging an animal etc.

If you are looking for a knife that will last you a lifetime and always perform as advertised in the field, take a look at the ZT line of knives, you will not be disappointed. It will cost you a little more upfront but will over perform for you forever under all conditions and climates.
