Three trips to Alaska this year with my new Merlin's have proven to me that I made a very wise decision with the purchase. Through 8-16 ft seas and driving rains in Prince William sound hunting black bears on the coast lines to hunting black bears over bait on the Alaska Peninsula peering through the woods, the Merlin's performed nothing short of spectacular. Although I am not as technically savvy as some when it comes to the all the specs of a quality pair of Bino's I can say for the others out there like myself that want a great pair of binoculars that will perform well beyond there expectations and can handle most anything that can be thrown there way the Steiner Merlin's with there rugged design and exceptional glass will not let you down.
