First annual PVA Heritage Fund/ Ken Onion Custom Knife Alaska Black bear hunt

In cooperation with Full Curl Outdoors and the Tyonek Native Corporation and the PVA Heritage Fund, in the spring of 2009 up to 20 Wounded Service members will be hosted on an Alaska black bear hunt at Tyonek lodge in Alaska. Our hunters will be joined by representatives from our sponsor companies to assist and share in the joy of celebrating our heroes as well as assist in their outdoor rehabilitation.

The Tyonek Native Corp has accomplished extensive renovations that allow us the opportunity to take even our paralyzed Service members into this somewhat remote lodge to enjoy Alaska’s outdoors as well as have a chance at an Alaska black bear in this well known high bear population area of the state.

Without our Generous sponsors projects like this would not be possible, these sponsors not only assist financially but also in the organization and on site assistance at most every event for our soldiers. It is not surprising how devoted our sponsors are after sharing in the experiences, the stories and the often life changing events that happen during the course of one of our PVA Heritage Fund projects.

We always need more help to continue to grow these opportunities for the so many wounded soldiers that have given so much for all of us and every dollar helps, literally every dollar.

Please consider helping us develop the Alaska bear hunt into an annual event that our wounded Service members can count on, rehabilitation does not only happen in the hospital.
