Our May 2008 bear hunt/fishing trip has us joined by noted author and "Knights Born to Hunt" show host Dick Scorzafava. Also Joining us will be wounded Iraqi Veteran Tyler Hall of Wasilla, Alaska and PVA member Ken Weas, Ken is in a wheelchair after a tragic accident while serving in the Air Force. Although Tyler has been hunting numerous times in his life he not yet been successful, it is our hope to make this trip a big success for Tyler in more ways than just shooting his first trophy animal.

Join us later for some great photos and stories from the hunt as well as information about the many new products we will be trying out on the trip.

This year as well as our usual can't get enough of halibut, sea bass, ling cod etc that we catch on this trip we have added salmon shark to the species list, so check back for some great photos as well as I am know some great stories.

Plagued by 8-16 ft seas for most all of the hunt this year none of us thought much of taking many photos. On the one day were off the boats to hunt we were able to take 4 bears, unfortunately pictures are only available for 2 of them. All things considered the fishing was ok as well and it seemed that most all of the halibut we caught were over 30lbs or so with the largest being over 100lbs. I hope that more photos can be rounded up shortly from other members on the hunt.

Scott Scorzafava and his beautiful 6' plus black bear. Scott certainly took the largest of this years hunt.

Norm and a great halibut he caught

Unfortunately our Veteran Tyler Hall was not able to connect with a bear this year, I was fortunate to be with him when he missed a shot at the largest black bear I have ever seen in the wild with his new Knight Muzzle loader. Tyler still had  a great time as did the rest of us despite the weather, high seas etc.

Interested in joining us for our 2009 hunts?

Please email for more information, we receive hundreds of emails every year about joining this hunt but unfortunately we can't accommodate everyone so we are considering adding another spring hunt.

We are also considering adding a Kodiak Island blacktail hunt for the fall of 2008 and certainly for 2009 so please email if you might be interested in joining us on this great trip.
