Loading Art into the blind for the evening hunt.

Steve Sanford and Art , Steve was wounded in Iraq and hunted with us last year and came back this year as a volunteer. This is the last night of the hunt and we all are optimistic even though the the first few days very few moose were seen and daytime temps reached into the 70's.

Success !!

Art shot a great bull moose the last night of the hunt with appx 20 minutes of light left for the day. I have never seen a bull fall like this one did, Art placed the shot straight through the hump and that was it, it dropped straight down and not even a flinch.

Carl bagged this Moose within fifteen minutes of Art's bull on the last night of the hunt. This shot has quite a story to go with it and Carl will be providing a few words shortly. Carl and Dustin (Local hunt organizer from Eielson Air Force base) made a great team this year.
